new teachers to agMS!!!
Name: Ms. Katie Evans
Where are you from?: I am from Lexington, VA. Subject that you teach: I teach 7th grade Language Arts. An interesting fact about you: An interesting fact about me is that I am from the town where Robert E Lee's horse still haunts the town at night. A memorable moment so far was...today! I had a student and I told her that she was smart and she looked so excited and proud. She was a gem the entire rest of the day. Why did you choose to teach? I wanted to have a job with kids and English. I like seeing the moment when they get something. Name: Kristin Fridrick Where are you from?: Toledo, Ohio Subject that you teach: I teach 7th grade Math. An interesting fact about you: I lived on a ship for 110 days and sailed 360 degrees around the world in college. A memorable moment so far was...when I was able to transition into my own classroom with the support of the same team I student taught with here at AG! Why did you choose to teach? I always thought I would be a teacher, and always was drawn to math. I am happiest when helping others, and always prided myself on being able to help my friends/peers in school. Name: Kathryne Avery Where are you from?: Wilmington, NC Subject that you teach: 6-8 A-U An interesting fact about you: I've seen Jennifer Aniston in person. A memorable moment so far was...having daily talks after school to recap the day. Why did you choose to teach? To me, there is no better feeling than helping children with diverse abilities discover their skills and strengths in different areas of their lives. Name: Chuckie Naas Where are you from?: Mooresville, NC Subject that you teach: 6th grade Math An interesting fact about you: I am a MASSIVE video gamer <3 A memorable moment so far was...the motivation and enthusiasm expressed from my students, colleagues, and parents.
